Pavlisin's Goal in 69th Minutes Gives Seawolves 2-1 Win Over Niagara

Sept. 16, 2007

Box Score

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Off a quick counter, Mihailo Pavlisin (Subotica, Serbia) scored an unassisted goal in the 69th minute for the game winner as the Stony Brook men's soccer team won its fourth game in a row with a 2-1 win over Niagara. Stony Brook improves to 4-2-0 with the victory while Niagara is 1-3-0.

The Seawolves wasted no time scoring early in the first half. Michael Palacio (Long Beach, N.Y.) dribbled to his left and blasted a ball past Niagara Keeper John Fiutowski for the 1-0 lead.

Niagara would score just before the first half ended when Matthew Durand headed in the ball for a score.

Stony Brook continued its furious offensive attack in the second half and converted in the 69th minute. Pavlisin would score his first goal as a Seawolf for the 2-1 advantage.
