July 19, 2005 Stony Brook, N.Y. - Head men's lacrosse coach Lars Tiffany announced that Cory Conway (Brentwood Bay, B.C./Stelly's Secondary School) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Stony Brook University. He will be one of 10 newcomers to wear the Stony Brook red in 2006. "Cory is one of the top young field players in Canada," said Tiffany. "We are excited about his accurate shot and his tremendous potential." Conway is the leading scorer for the Victoria Shamrocks, the best team in British Columbia's Intermediate "A" Box Lacrosse League. In 14 games he totaled 37 goals and 39 assists and was recently named MVP of the Denver NDP Tournament.
