Stony Brook Athletics to Sponsor Fan Bus To America East Men's Basketball Tournament

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook Athletics is sponsoring a fan bus to travel to Binghamton to support the men's basketball team on Saturday, March 5, at the America East Basketball Tournament IF the Seawolves are victorious in their first round matchup with Hartford on Friday night. The Seawolves would face Northeastern in the quarterfinals, Saturday March 5 at 6 p.m. The bus would leave the Stony Brook Sports Complex at 1 p.m. Saturday and return after the game. Their is a $10 fee to all Stony Brook students, all of whom must pre-register to get on the bus as seating is limited. The $10 fee will cover transportation to the game AND a ticket to the game.

The No. 7 seeded Seawolves face No. 10 Hartford on Friday night in a play-in game that advances the winner to the quarterfinals versus No. 2 Northeastern on Saturday at 6 p.m. If the Seawolves are once again victorious against Northeastern, another bus will leave for Binghamton on Sunday at 9 a.m. for the semifinal game that will take place at 2:30 p.m.

Saturday's bus will leave the SBU Sports Complex at 1 p.m.and arrive in Binghamton at approximately 5 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Anyone interested in attending should pre-register and drop off their deposit money to the Athletic Media Relations office located in the Sports Complex by noon on Friday, March 4.

A reminder, this bus will be heading to Binghamton ONLY IF the Seawolves win their first round matchup with Hartford on Friday night. For Friday's result, log on to www.goseawolves.org or call (631) 632-WOLF.
