Stony Brook, N.Y. - Saturday afternoon's doubleheader action with Hartford was postponed due to rain. The doubleheader will not be made up which wrapped up regular season conference play for the Seawolves with an 11-11 mark.

Stony Brook tied for third in America East play with Northeastern which also sported an 11-11 record in conference action. Northeastern gets the third place nod by virtue of winning three-of-four from the Seawolves during the season.

As a result, the Seawolves are the fourth seed entering next week's America East playoffs and will face the number one seed Maine Black Bears. No. 2 Vermont will take on Northeastern.

The conference tournament will take place on the University of Maine campus beginning on Thursday, May 23. Vermont will play Northeastern at 3:30 p.m. to be followed by the Stony Brook-Maine matchup at 7:00. It is a double-elimination tournament with the championship game slated for Saturday afternoon. The winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
