Randall's Island, N.Y. - Leonora Joy wrapped up the 2005 outdoor track season with another outstanding performance, finising second in her section of the 3000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Regional Championships.

The junior knocked nine seconds off her own school record, finishing in 10:33.12 while improving her regional ranking from 26th to 13th in the steeple.

The Regional Championships cover the entire east coast from Maine to Florida and serve as the qualifying event for the NCAA Championships.
