Manhattan, N.Y. - Jenny Payne led the Seawolves at the METS Championships this past weekend, finishing runner-up in the 3000m with a time of 10:11.63, which is the third-fastest time in Stony Brook history. Mike Thompson and Jonathan Brims each set school records and earned the best finishes for the men's team. Thompson was fourth in the 1000m with a time of 2:30.83, a time that was just one second short of the qualifying time for the IC4A Championships. Brims was also fourth in the one-mile run with his time of 4:14.54 which was a personal improvement of five seconds and was just .54 seconds short of the IC4A qualifying time. The women's team was 11th out of 15 teams overall, while the men's team finished 14th.
