Field Hockey Signs Third Recruit

March 16, 2005

St. Louis, Mo. - Saint Louis University head field hockey coach Maria Whitehead announced that Emily Kassab (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University and play for the Billikens. Kassab will have four years of eligibility beginning with the 2005-06 academic year.

Kassab, a 5-foot midfielder, helped lead the Indians to a 14-4-2 finish and to their 2004 league and district championships and scored four goals and five assists during her senior year. Kassab was a Lancaster Lebanon All-Star and participated in FUTURES, National Field Hockey Festival tournaments as well as the N.I.T. qualifiers.

"Emily is a sound player and has mastered all of the basic skills," Whitehead said. "She will be a great addition to our midfield and her experience will be an asset for our program."
