Saint Louis University director of athletics Doug Woolard announced today that John Pacifico has been named director of ticket operations. Pacifico arrives from Florida Atlantic University.

"John has demonstrated his expertise of ticketing operations in both collegiate and professional organizations," Woolard said. "His experience with Florida Atlantic, the Miami Heat and the Florida Marlins will be an asset to our department and the University."

Pacifico spent the past two seasons as the director of football ticket operations at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla. He implemented the entire ticket operation for the first-year football program, developing all ticket policies and procedures. He managed all aspects of game-day ticket operations at Pro Player Stadium and also helped to raise money for The Owl Fund Booster Club to support scholarship athletes at FAU.

Prior to Florida Atlantic, Pacifico spent one year as the group ticketing coordinator for the NBA's Miami Heat. He handled all group ticket orders and assisted in the processing of new season ticket sales. Pacifico also served one year as a representative at Pro Player Stadium for the NFL's Miami Dolphins and MLB's Florida Marlins. He supervised game day gate sales for both the Dolphins and Marlins. He handled receivables from Dolphin season ticket holders and processed all Marlins season ticket and group accounts.

A native of Kansas City, Pacifico graduated from the University of Kansas in 1998 with a degree in business administration. While at KU, he served as a marketing and promotions intern for the department of athletics. Pacifico earned a masters' degree in sports administration from the University of Miami (Fla.) in 2000.
