Women's Rowing Picked Second in A-10 Coaches Poll
Jan. 29, 2006 PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team has been picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Bratten Trophy winners as the Dad Vail Regatta's overall team champion, SJU did not lose a letterwinner to graduation and returns its Varsity 8 intact led by senior captains Amanda Holland and Jenn Linck. "It is great to have the respect of the conference coaches," state head coach Gerry Quinlan. "But we know that it only matters where you are ranked at the end of the season and we train to be #1."
