SJU Harriers Wrap Up at IC4As with 12th Place Finish

BRONX, N.Y.--Junior Kyle Murray led the men's cross country team to a 12th place finish at the IC4A Championships at Van Courtlandt Park. Murray capped an already impressive season with a 19th place showing, completing the eight-kilometer course in 25:43. Georgetown won the men's Championship Race with 38 points with Hoya Daniel Nuun winning the race in a time of 25:13. After Murray, there was a large gap before another Hawk crossed the line. Freshman Brian Guterl was 63rd in 26:20 and sophomore Jon Sclafani (26:23) was just three seconds behind in 68th place. Eleven second later, junior Stephen Young (26:34) earned 76th place. Sophomore Jimmy Jennings stopped the scoring with his 93rd place finish in a time of 26:55. Freshman Luke Fischer was not far behind Jennings, running to a 99th place spot, running 27:05. George Wittmann (123rd/27:32), Chris Savino (132nd/27:51) Pete Dittmar (133rd/27:51), and Will Rowland (138/28:18) rounded out the Hawk roster for the Championship Race. In the IC4A Coaches Race, freshman Jesse Brooks was the first Hawk across the line in 13th, running in a time of 28:10. Fellow classmates Kevin Donnelly (28:57) and Vince Collins (29:11) also ran, finishing 30th and 34th, respectively.
