McCrary and Creedon Honored as Red Storm Fall to Pirates, 3-1
 

 
Jamaica, N.Y.- Seniors Meaghan Creedon (Rohnert Park, Calif.) and Sarah McCrary (Walnut, Calif.) were honored before the start of todays match versus Seton Hall, as it marked the final time in their careers the duo will take the court at Alumni Hall. McCrary, who recorded a double-double with 16 kills and 10 digs, and Creedon, who tallied 7 kills on 16 attempts, fell short in their bid to win their final home match, as the Pirates topped the Red Storm, 3-1 (30-25, 30-17, 20-30, 30-21). The defeat drops St. Johns to 15-16 overall and 4-7 in the BIG EAST. Seton Hall improves to 14-16 overall and 5-6 in BIG EAST action.

Seton Hall jumped out to an early 2-0 lead winning games one and two. The Pirates hit a combined .437 to the Red Storms .217.

Game three was a different story as the St. Johns stormed back behind the hitting of freshman Jackie Ahlers (Stony Point, N.Y.). Ahlers recorded five kills on five attempts as the Red Storm out hit the Pirates .371 to.303.

Seton Hall was able to close out the match with a convincing 30-21 victory in game four. The Pirates held a commanding, .469 to .182 advantage in hitting percentage for the game.

Junior setter Robyn Kurasaki (Mililani, Hawaii) contributed a double-double tallying 41 assists and 10 digs for the Red Storm. Ahlers added 13 kills for the match, while sophomore Allison Heckl (Corrales, N.M.) sparked St. Johns off the bench with 9 kills.

Jenna Meyers match-high 17 kills paced the Pirates. Shawn McDonald tallied 52 assists while Emily Hawkins added 12 digs for Seton Hall.

St. Johns returns to action on Saturday, November 16 when they travel to Providence to take on the Friars. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
