Jamaica, N.Y.- St. Johns University senior Sheba George (Brooklyn, N.Y./ Samuel J. Tilden) finished 13th in the 20 pound weight throw at the 2002 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships being held at the University of Arkansas.

George finished with a throw of 19.21m. She earned a spot at the Indoor Championships with her school record breaking throw of 19.86m at the Milrose Games earlier this season.

George is having an impressive season for the Red Storm. She has earned All-East Honors at the ECAC Championships. She finished first in the shot put and weight throw at the Met Indoor Championships, Fordham/SJU Invitational, Army Invitational, and Manhattan Invitational. George also has a second place finish at the BIG EAST Championships in the weight throw.
