Howey Inn Hills, Fla. – The St. John’s women’s golf team rang in the spring season by coming in second at the Treasure Coast Classic and posting three top-10 performances.
The Red Storm were led by a pair of rookies, Lois Kim and Renee Cloutier. Kim finished in fourth place and shot her best round of a one-under par 71 in the final day. She carded a 220 (74-76-70) overall. Meanwhile, Cloutier, who had also had a solid fall season for St. John’s, locked up sixth place with a 223 (77-74-73).
Junior Brittany Lambertson tied for seventh place and rounded out the top-10 finishers for the Red Storm. After carding a 74 in round one, Lambertson went on to shoot a 75 and 78.
Samantha Tejada and Ashley Szewzcuk completed St. John’s starting five on the green. Tejada came in tied for 14th with a 232 (74-82-76) while Szewzcuk shot a 243 (86-79-78).
The St. John’s women’s golf team will have some time off before heading to the Cincinnati Spring Invitational on March 23.
