QUEENS, N.Y. - Senior golfer Brittany Lambertson finished in a first place tie with Lindsay Hong of Yale. Lambertson scored a 10-over 152 (81 71) as the Red Storm women's golf team took fifth this weekend at the Yale Fall Intercollegiate. St. John's finished with a 72-over 640 (325, 316). "We showed improvement as a team and Brittnay really stepped up," said head coach Ambry Bishop. "Brittnay showed what she was capable of and set a great example for our other golfers." St. John's finished behind Yale, Harvard, Rollins College, and Georgetown. Host Yale won the event with a 51-over 619 (307, 312). Lambertson also recorded the low score of the tournament with as second day 71. Sophomore Renee Cloutier also turned in a solid performance, finishing tied for twenty-third with a 19-over 161 (79, 82). The Red Storm's next tournament is October 7-8 at Legends Shootout in Franklin, Ind.
