BIG EAST ALL-STARS CONCLUDE TOUR OF CANADA
 

 
Vancouver, B.C. - The BIG EAST women's basketball All-Stars wrapped up their six-game tour of Canada with a 5-1 record. St. John's sophomore Tynisha Myles (Paterson, N.J./Paterson Catholic HS) represented the Red Storm on the tour, scoring 25 points with 12 rebounds in the six games. The All-Stars were coached by West Virginia University head coach Alexis Basil.

In the All-Stars' first of four games against Simon Fraser in Vancouver, Myles, a 6-2 center, chipped in five points and four boards in a 76-64 loss. The All-Stars got even with Simon Fraser in the second game, as Myles pulled down a pair of rebounds and made one foul shot. In Game 3, Myles again grabbed two boards but was held scoreless in the All-Stars' 75-68 victory. Myles found her stroke in the finale, scoring eight points with one rebound in a decisive 91-57 win.

The All-Stars then traveled to Victoria to take on the University of Victoria. Myles contributed five points and two rebounds in the All-Stars' 86-69 victory. She tallied six points and a rebound as the All-Stars completed the sweep of Victoria, 78-55, on June 3.

Myles averaged 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds for the Red Storm last season, and is a two-time winner of the Marianne Noonan Memorial Award, which is presented annually to a member of the women's basketball team who best exemplifies the unselfish attitude and team spirit of Marianne Noonan in whose memory the award was established.
