Red Storm Men's Golf In Fourth After Two Rounds

QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's men's golf team stands in fourth place after the first day of play at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate in Hattiesburg Miss. The University of Southern Mississippi is hosting the event at the Par 71, 6,964 yard course at the Canebrake Country Club. The Red Storm, one-under 567 (284, 284) trail Southern Miss, five-under 563 (277, 286), UAB, four-under (282, 282), and Jacksonville St., three-under (282, 283).

"We've played well so far," said head coach Frank Darby. "This is a great chance for the team to go against some tough competition and show what they can do."

Senior co-captain Keegan Bradley leads the Red Storm with at three-under 139 (69, 70). Individually, Bradley is currently tied for seventh place. Sophomore Mike Ballo Jr., one-over 143 (73, 70) and Junior Kevin Velardo, one-over 143 (74, 69) are tied for seventeenth overall.
