Williamsburg, Va. - The St. John's University golf team finished 18th out of 24 teams at the NCAA East Regional Fall Preview held Monday and Tuesday at the Ford's Colony Marsh Hawk course in Willamsburg, Va.
Virginia Tech won the East Regional with a one-over-par combined total of 577 (287+290), while the Red Storm finished 30 strokes back of the Hokies with a two-day total of 607 (308+299). Sophomore Andrew Svoboda (Harrison, N.Y.) was the top scorer (74+73=147) for St. John's, finishing five back of the leader, Brendon De Jonge of Virginia Tech (70+72=142). The golf team has concluded their fall season and will resume action in the spring.
