St. Johns Golf Finishes Fourth at Rutherford Intercollegiate
 

 
University Park, Pa.- The St. Johns golf team closed out its regular season this weekend with a fourth place finish at the Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State University. The Red Storm carded a three round score of 881, 22 strokes behind first place Penn State.

The Red Storm were led by junior Andrew Svoboda (Stamford, Conn.), who carded an even-par 216 to earn him a tie for 10th place. Senior Jesse Fitzgerald (Sayville, N.Y.) finished tied for 24th place at seven-over par 223, while Joe Saladino (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) finished in 29th place at eight-over par 224. Kyle Sleasman (Loudonville, N.Y) 10-over par 226 and John DeForest (Cottekill, N.Y.) 16-over par 232,earned ties for 32nd and 54th place respectively.

St. Johns is currently waiting for the NCAA to announce its selections for the East Regional to be played on May 16-18 in Atlanta, Ga. St. Johns is currently ranked third in District II by golfweek.com and are confident that they will be selected to their section straight East Regional.
