Scranton, Pa. - The St. John's University men's golf team finished eight this past weekend at the Temple Invitational, being held at Glenmaura G.C. in Scranton, Pa. The Red Storm carded a two-round score of 638, four strokes back of seventh place Temple. Penn Sate won the event with a 597. St. John's was led by freshman Joe Yastrub (Lake Grove, N.Y.) who tied for 17th place at 14-over par 156.
Sophomore Brian McArdle (Huntington, N.Y.) tied for 22nd with a 16-over par 158, while freshman John Stoltz (Middletown, N.Y.) finished tied for 30th at 18-over par 160. Junior Ian Middelton (British Columbia, Canada) tied for 44th at 22-over par 164 to round out the scoring for the Red Storm.
The Red Storm returns to the links this weekend when they travel to New Haven, Conn. for the Yale invitational on October 11-12.
