ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - A combined six student-athletes from the St. Bonaventure men's and women's tennis teams were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athletes, while the women were also named an ITA All-Academic team, as well, announced earlier this week.

In order to earn Scholar-Athlete status a player must obtain at least a 3.5 grade point average for the current academic year. 2007 graduate Dejan Stankovic and senior Antonio Farias represented the Brown and White on the men's side.

For the women, 2007 graduates Vanessa Close and Stephanie Fosnight, along with sophomores Eileen Horgan and Vanessa Rumpel achieved a 3.5 GPA or better.

The entire women's team was named an ITA All-Academic team, achieving better than a 3.2 team GPA for the 2006-07 academic year.
