Women's basketball 20th on WBCA Academic Honor Roll
July 25, 2006 ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - For the third time in the last four seasons, St. Bonaventure has earned a place as one of the top 25 academic teams in NCAA Division I. The Bonnies are 20th on 2005-06 Women's Basketball Coaches Association Academic Team Honor Roll, a ranking determined by the team's 3.3 grade point average over the fall and spring semesters. St. Bonaventure, which is coached by Jim Crowley, was the only Atlantic 10 Conference team to make the Honor Roll. "I am very proud of our players for their dedication and achievement," Crowley said. "This award is a reflection of the talent and work put in by our players as well as the guidance and inspiration of St. Bonaventure's faculty and our academic support staff." "It is my pleasure to recognize each of these distinguished women's basketball programs that have gone above and beyond excellence on the court and have extended it to the classroom," said Beth Bass, chief executive officer of the WBCA. The members of the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team in 2005-06 were Stefanie Collins, Ashley Edwards, Priscilla Edwards, Megan Ellis, Audrey Latendresse, Maripier Malo, Chere Marshall, Olecia Miller, Katelyn Murray, Amanda Pierce, Erica Schiefen and Iben Soltau.
