Bonnies compete at Little Three Championship

BUFFALO, N.Y. -St. Bonaventure men's cross country team placed second while the women finished last in the Little Three Meet against Niagara University and Canisius College at Devil's Hole State Park on Saturday.
Freshman Paul Nessle (Corning, N.Y./ Corning East) placed second overall with a time of 21:44. Freshmen Jason Schultz (Rochester, N.Y./Penfield) and Brian Thierman (Allegany, N.Y./Allegany-Limestone) finished 5th and 8th, respectively. Schultz posted a time of 22:34 and Thierman finished at 22:53.
Freshmen Mary Town (Troy, N.Y./Troy) was the only non-Canisius runner to finish in the top ten, she placed ninth with a time of 20:58. Juniors Nancy Hanft (Exton, Pa./ Downington) and Sarah Wall (New Milford, Conn./New Milford) paced the women with 22:58 and 23:23, respectively.
Canisius men and women swept the meet, placing nine women and five men in the top 10 finishers.
The Bonnies will next compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships on November 2.
