ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Sixty-seven St. Bonaventure student-athletes - 26 percent of the University's 252 student-athletes - earned a place on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the fall 2004 semester.

The newly-revised Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a semester. Previously, the Honor Roll was announced once per year and included student-athletes with cumulative GPAs of at least 3.0.

"Given the new criteria, the number and percentage of our student-athletes who achieved Commissioner's Honor Roll status is admirable," said St. Bonaventure's Director of Athletics, Ron Zwierlein, Ph.D. "We are proud of them and the standards they have set for themselves and their peers. While they deserve all the accolades for their achievement, credit also should go to our student-athlete support services staff as well as the faculty and staff here at St. Bonaventure who assist these young men and women in their journey."

A total of 894 student-athletes at the Atlantic 10's 12 member institutions make up the fall 2004 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
