Started the season with a 3-1 outing at the Central Missouri Open at 165 pounds before injury forced him out of the tournament ... Pinned Brandon Wise of CMSU in his first match of the year in just 14 seconds ... Went 4-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions at 174 pounds ... Picked up an 11-6 win over Cal State Bakersfield's Christian Arellano, who was ranked No. 14 in the nation ... Bumped up to 184 pounds during the dual season to help fill gaps in the lineup ... Notched one dual win, pinning Portland State's Sean Murphy in 4:47.

2004-05 Season (Junior): Earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention accolades ... Notched a 7-1 record with a dual win ... Posted one win by fall and a second win by tech fall ... Captured the title at 174 pounds at the Menlo Invitational ... Posted a tech fall to open the tournament before scoring a pair of one-point decisions to advance to the championship ... Posted a 5-3 decision over James Mannebach (Southern Oregon) to claim the title ... Opened the All Cal Invitational with two shutout decisions en route to a second-place finish ... In his second match-up of the year versus Mannebach, recorded a win by fall just 37 seconds into the bout to advance to the finals.
