AT STANFORD: Fifth-year senior whose size, athleticism, quickness and experience give him the potential to be one of the Pac-10's most dominant pass rushers...has shown marked improvement every season...has made 24 consecutive starts over the last two seasons since recovering from a broken leg suffered on the second to last play of the game at Washington State on Oct. 8, 2005...enters his senior season with 109 career tackles, including 67 solo efforts...ranks as Stanford's active career leader in tackles for loss (21.5)...is second among active players in career sacks (8.5), forced fumbles (3) and is tied for second in fumble recoveries (2).

2007 (SENIOR): Led all Cardinal defensive linemen for the second straight season with a career- high 49 tackles, which was the fifth highest total on the team...finished with 13.5 TFL for 75 yards, which ranked third on the team behind Pat Maynor (16.5-80) and Clinton Snyder (14.5-81)...total also ranked ninth in the Pac-10 and 62nd nationally...had 8.5 TFL over a four-game stretch beginning with the Oregon State game on Oct. 24...finished the year with three forced fumbles (at Arizona, Washington and Notre Dame), which ranked second on the team and tied for fourth in the Pac-10...tied for second on the team with Maynor with six sacks (Snyder 8)...two fumble recoveries on the year (vs. Oregon State; at Washington State) ranked tied for third behind Snyder (3) and Chike Amajoyi (3)...earned Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording a career-best 10 tackles, a career-high-tying 2.5 TFL (-13 yds), 1.5 sacks (-11 yds) and his first blocked kick on an extra point attempt in Stanford's upset victory over second-ranked USC...forced a fumble on the final play of the game to preserve a 21-20 win at Arizona...had a career-high 2.0 sacks and tied a career-best with 2.5 TFL and a forced fumble against Notre Dame.

2006 (JUNIOR): Started all 12 games at defensive end and topped all Cardinal defensive linemen with 45 tackles, including 25 solo efforts...had five or more tackles in five games...tied for the team lead with 5.5 TFL (-17 yds)...had a then-career-best seven tackles in the season opener at Oregon...had 2.0 TFL at Arizona State...had five solo tackles among his six total tackles vs. Washington...registered a sack at Arizona State and a half-sack against Navy.

2005 (SOPHOMORE): Finished the season with 15 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one quarterback sack, two pass breakups and one QB hurry in four games during a season that was cut short due to injury...was used in a reserve role over the first three games of the season before working his way into the starting lineup for game four at Washington State...however, suffered a broken leg on the second to last play of the game and was forced to miss the remainder of the season...made his collegiate debut in the season-opener at Navy and finished with six tackles, a sack and a TFL...had four tackles, an assisted TFL and a pass breakup the next week vs. UC Davis...had four tackles, a TFL and a quarterback hurry prior to his injury at Washington State.

2004 (FRESHMAN): Did not see action.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Played just one season of football at North Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Tex...was a SuperPrep All-Southwest team selection following his senior season...also earned first team All-District 12-5A marks...finished his senior campaign with 54 tackles, four sacks, three fumble recoveries and three blocked field goals...did not play football as a junior in order to focus on academics...earned all-state academic honors and was named a McDonald's Scholar Athlete as a senior...member of the National Honor Society...also played basketball for two seasons...majoring in management science and engineering.
