Summer Ball: Named the starting second baseman at the East-West All Star Game at Fenway Park for Brewster in the Cape Cod League in the summer of 2009... cooled off after batting .400 to start the summer to hit .255 over 32 games with 13 runs... made just six errors all summer... enjoyed a banner 2008 summer season with the Kelowna (British Columbia) Falcons ... ranked third in the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League with a .352 batting average (31-for-88) ... added 19 runs, five doubles, eight RBIs, a .502 on base percentage and six stolen bases in 25 games (24 starts).

As a sophomore in 2009: Named honorable mention All-Pac-10 Conference after batting a team-best .320 with 44 runs and 25 RBIs over 54 games and 52 starts, all at second base... led the team in walks with 51, producing a .466 on-base percentage.... also fielded at a .980 clip, combining with shortstop Jake Schlander to help the Cardinal tie the schoolrecord for fielding percentage at .977... had 16 multi-hit games... stole 4-of-10 bases on the season... hit safely in 12 of his final 14 games... drove in four runs as a part of a 3-for-5 day against San Jose State on May 5... had four hits to close out a nice weekend against Washington, going 4-for-5 with three RBIs after getting three hits and two RBIs in the opener the last weekend in May... also had three hits against USF on April 27, driving in two... drove in two runs apiece in back-to-back games on April 13 and 15 against Cal and at Santa Clara in midweek affairs... that was in the midst of a 12-game hit streak from April 5 to April 24, that saw his average raise from .297 to .327... hit .395 over that stretch, (17-43) with 11 walks, while not surrendering an error in 52 attempts.

As a Freshman in 2008: Was a key contributor off the bench during his rookie campaign, batting .323 (21-for-65) in 33 games (nine starts) ... added 18 runs, four doubles and eight ... was third on the club with 17 pinch-hit at-bats ... doubled in his first collegiate at-bat, in the second game of a February 22 doubleheader versus Nebraska ... delivered a run-scoring single March 28 versus Washington State for his first career RBIs ... hit safely in eight of his nine games from April 27-May 12, going 15-for-31 (.484) with 11 runs scored, three doubles and five RBIs ... had five multi-hit games over the span, including career-high three hit efforts in consecutive contests (April 30 at UC Davis and May 4 at San Jose State) ... collected a career-best three RBIs April 28 at Santa Clara ... played in five postseason games (one start) and went 3-for-8 (.375) with four runs scored and two RBIs ... was pressed into starting duty in the second game of the NCAA Super Regional at Cal State Fullerton (June 7) when all-conference second baseman Cord Phelps was sick ... responded by going 2-for-4 with three runs scored, a double, a walk and his lone stolen base of the season in an 8-5 victory ... hit safely in his last seven starts overall, going 13-for-28 (.464) with 11 runs scored, three doubles, five RBIs and five walks ... delivered a two-out, pinch-hit, RBIs single in the ninth inning of Stanford's College World Series finale, a 10-8 loss to Georgia on June 21.
