Baton Rouge, LA - If its' cold then it must be time for the 23rd Annual Southern University Invitational volleyball tournament.

"The tournament has been some what of a tradition here," said head coach Nathaniel Denu. "The winner of the last 15 tournaments has gone on and won the SWAC tournament."

Joining SU this year is Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Jackson State University, and Mississippi Valley State University.

The event kicks off on Friday, October, 26th at 9:00 a.m. with five games on the ticket. Then on Saturday, October 27th the action begins at 8:00 a.m. with four games on the schedule The championship game will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the winners from Pool A and Pool B participating.

Pool A includes Alabama A&M University, the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Jackson State University. Pool B will have tournament host Southern University, Alabama State University, and Mississippi Valley State University.

All games will be played at Seymour Gymnasium and the event is free and open to the public.
