Baton Rouge, LA - The Southern University Lady Jaguars volleyball dropped their fourth Southwestern Athletic Conference match to the Prairie View A&M University Pantherettes 3-1. The game was originally scheduled for September 23rd put had to be rescheduled because of a home football contest.

Southern (5-13, 1-4) was led by senior Shametia Whitaker who completed the game with 11 kills and six digs. Freshman Banaka Okwuone totaled 13 digs on the day. The Lawrence, Kansas native also finished the game with seven kills.

The Lady Jaguars will travel to Grambling, LA to face conference rival the Lady Tigers of Grambling State University on Friday, October 20th. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
