Baton Rouge, LA - The Southern University volleyball team will host Alcorn State University and Hampton University in their home opener. The games will be played on tomorrow, Saturday, September 7th.

Game times are as follows: 9:00 am Alcorn vs. Hampton; 12:00 pm Southern vs. Alcorn; 2:00 pm SU vs. Hampton.

Southern (4-1) is coming off a win in their first tournament of the season as they captured the Tiny Laster Memorial Volleyball Tournament.

"It was a great win for the team," said head coach Nathaniel Denu. "This was a confidence builder for the young ladies they played worked hard and deserved the win."
