Final Stats

Pine Bluff, AR - The Southern University Lady Jaguars volleyball team dropped their Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division match to the Golden Lionettes of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 0-3.

"We came out very flat and did not pass well today," said head coach Nathainel Denu. "It was senior day at Pine Bluff so the ladies were ready to play and do what was needed in order to win the game."

Southern (7-7, 1-3 SWAC) could not find their offensive punch during the game to fend off the last place Golden Lionettes. Freshman Ena Payne, sophomore TaRhonda White and junior Shametia Whitaker all recorded six kills a piece. Defensively White had two blocks while Whitaker had 7 kills. Freshmen Kierre Joseph finished the game with eight digs while the setter Lakenya Simpson had 23 assists.

The Lady Jaguars will travel to Grambling, LA to face the Lady Tigers of Grambling State University on Monday, October 24th at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played at the Men's Memorial Gymnasium.
