Southern Soccer Plays Last Home Game
10/28/2004

Baton Rouge, LA --  The Southern University Lady Jaguars soccer team will play their last home game of the season on Friday, October 28th as they host the Lady Hornets of Alabama State University.

“It is the last home game of the season and were looking forward to it,” said head coach Rohan Naraine.  “We only have one senior on the squad in Hillary Bruno and she will be missed.”

Southern (4-10-1, 1-3 SWAC) has been struggling all year with injuries.  A total of seven starters have been playing hurt most of the season. Starting goalie Alexander Lewis went out for the season with a knee injury after the second game of the year.

The Lady Jaguars only senior, Hilary Bruno, will be honored at halftime of tomorrow’s game.

“I can’t believe the season has come to an end so fast,” said Bruno.  “I really going to miss my teammates and playing for Southern.  I wish the team much success.”

The Game will be played in Baker, LA at Clark Park.  Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
