SAN SALVADOR, EL Salvador -- - Former Southern Miss track and field All-American Tanika Liburd finished third at the North America, Central America and Caribbean Open Championships.

Liburd, competing for her country, Saint Kitts and Nevis, recorded a jump of 6.12m (20'1") in the long jump, finishing third behind Shameka Marshall of the United States and Nolle Graham of Jamaica.

Liburd will compete in the XV Pan American Games next week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
