Lady Eagle Soccer Travels To TCU And Memphis

HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Southern Miss soccer team, fresh off its first conference win of the season last Sunday over USF, will attempt to move up in the standings as it travels to TCU and Memphis this weekend.

Friday's match against TCU starts at 3 p.m., while Sunday's match against Memphis kicks off at 1 p.m.

The Lady Eagles enters the weekend with an overall record of 8-4-2, but with only a 1-4-1 conference record good enough for 11th place in Conference USA.

Freshman Carly Barkley leads the Lady Eagles in goals scored goals with seven.

TCU enters Friday's match with a 6-6-1 overall record, and is in third place in Conference USA with a 4-1 conference record.

The Horn Frogs have conference victories over Cincinnati, Marquette, Saint Louis, and Houston. TCU is led in goals scored by Amy VanZandt with six.

Memphis enters this weekend with a 3-7-3 overall record, and is in 14th place in Conference USA with a 0-4-1 record.

The Tigers have victories over Drury, Tennessee-Martin, and Alabama A&M. Memphis is led in goals scored by Yuiko Konno with seven.

After this weekend, the Lady Eagles next match will be Friday, October 24th at Houston. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
