HOUSTON, Texas -- - Golden Eagle track and field teams concluded their competition at the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday with the men's team finishing seventh with 63 points and the women's team finishing ninth with 45 points.

Highlighting the Golden Eagle performances was junior Cornelius Duncan who placed first in the 400 meter dash with a regional qualifying and school record time of 45.83. Duncan then finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 21.24. He also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished second with a time of 3:09.85, posting a regional qualifying time.

Cordell Kinn added three more points with his sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Marvin Pinnock finished fifth with a time of 1:53.08. Frederick Baldwin placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.11 and followed that performance with a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.29.

Hunter Adkins placed eighth in the pole vault with a height of 13'1.75".

Leonard McLeggon placed eighth in the high jump with a jump of 6'2.75". Vincent Tanui finished fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:17.40. The 4x100-meter relay team finished sixth with a time of 43.63.

On the women's side, Tanika Liburd recorded a regional qualifying time in the 100-meter dash, finishing fourth with a time of 11.73. Cheris Fletcher was fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 56.01. Aaliyah Shareef recorded regional qualifying mark in the triple jump with a jump of 40'11.75", finishing second.
