Files associated with this release: Golden Eagle Indoor Teams Compete At The Houston Indoor Invitational Both Golden Eagle teams recorded several improved performances and marks. Shane Brandford recorded a time of 7.03 in the 60-meter dash. Durran Dunn finished eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.59. Matthew Cheruiyot finished sixth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:44.34. In field events, Michael Hardrick finished tied for sixth in the high jump with a height of 65. Matt Fant posted a season-best height in the pole vault at 157. Steve Griffin took fifth in the B long jump at 223. Marvin Lucas posted his best jump in the long jump with a jump of 235.25 this season. Cedric Norman finished sixth in the triple jump with a jump of 474.25.
Several Lady Eagles showed improvements in times and marks several events as well. Prudence Reid posted a season-best time in the 60-meter dash, 7.57, advancing to the finals. Angela Johnson advanced to the finals with a season-best time of 7.84 in the 60-meter dash as well. Johnson followed that performance with a season-best time of 25.88 in the 200 meters. Jessica Crump posted a time of 2:18.03 in the 800 meters, finishing ninth. Alisha Edwards ran an improved time of 2:29.48. Keri White finished third in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:14.23. In field events, Kate Juedes finished eighth in the high jump with a jump of 55.75. Sabrina Norwood turned in a height of 53.75, just missing a top 10 finish. Angela Johnson took first-place in the B long jump in the with a jump of 187.75. Shannon Weaver finished fifth with a jump of 180.25. Both teams will compete in the Middle Tennessee State Indoor Invitational, Feb. 15. |
