Golden Eagle Tennis Team Concludes Play at UTC/Baras Fall Classic
Marc Lux teamed with newcomer Dylan Mezey to claim B doubles championship |
CHATTANOOGA – The Southern Miss men’s tennis wrapped up its play at the 2003 UTC/Baras Fall Classic with the doubles team of Marc Lux and Dylan Mezey defeating teammates Reid Bourgeois and Christopher Rea, 8-3, for the championship in the men’s B doubles.
Bourgeois lost to Luis Aguerrevere of Tennessee Tech in the finals of the men’s B singles, 6-2, 6-4.
Newcomer Thomas Funke won two matches Sunday, defeating Andy Cress of Coastal Carolina, 6-1, 6-1 and Jeff Muthig of Wofford, 6-1, 6-7, 1-0 (3),
claiming the championship of the consolation draw.
