The Southern Miss Ticket Office announced that Friday, August 17, is the deadline for football season ticket holders to order eagle perches in time for installation for the September 1 home opener.

The perch is a cushioned chairback seat that is bolted on to bench season ticket locations for all six home games. Each perch rents for $30 per seat for the 2007 season.

The 2007 season marks another sales record for the perch program. To date, more than 2,200 have been sold, surpassing last season's previous record of 2,122. A sales cap of 2,450 has been set for this year, meaning less than 250 units remain for the coming season.
