OMAHA, Neb. - The Southern Illinois women's tennis team lost to No. 66 Indiana State yesterday in the semifinals of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference tournament, 4-1.

The Salukis dropped the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches to fall behind 1-0. Jennifer Migan and Joanne Schickerling defeated Ame Blacketer and Jessica Flannery 8-0 at No. 1. Sarah Galparoli and Fadzai Masiyazi beat Sabine Tsala Mvilongo and Agata Skorupska 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.

The Sycamores quickly dispatched the Salukis No.1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles' players to take the 4-1 victory.

Tsala Mvilongo lost to No. 86-ranked Migan, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1. Blacketer dropped her match to Ariana Masschelein 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2. Skorupska fell to Schickerling 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3.

Vianna Ce picked up the Salukis' only point of the match when her opponent, Kelly Hamm, retired due to injury.
