April 21, 2007

Complete Results

Alex Arrigo fired a one-under 71 Saturday and Bryan Bigley placed third overall individually following an even-par final round as the Siena men's golf team charged into third place in the Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational. The Saints entered Saturday in fifth place overall, but passed MAAC member Iona and Temple on the final day of play.

The Invitational served as the final tune-up for the defending MAAC Champions who will look to repeat their conference title next weekend in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. at the MAAC Championships.

Bigley finished with a three-round total of 218, just two strokes behind leader Adam Webb of Tournament Champion Longwood. Arrigo finished his most impressive Tournament of the season in fourth place overall, just one stroke behind Bigley with a 219.

Dan Abbondandolo (T-15 227), Dennis Gosier (T-55 240) and Allen Parker (T-66 247) rounded out Siena's top-five. The Saints team total of 903 was just one stroke behind second place Mount St. Mary's (902).
