Rome, Ga. - After its fourth straight win on Sat. Oct. 6, the Shorter College Hawks football program entered into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Top 25 poll on Monday evening at number 24. This is the first time Shorter has broken into the poll this season.
This also marks the highest ranking the program has ever received. Last season, Shorter reached number 25 after going 4-1 to open the season.
The Hawks are off to their best start in program history, with a 5-1 overall record and a perfect 3-0 in conference play. They hope to keep their streak alive this weekend as they take on the receiving-votes Georgetown College Tigers in Georgetown, Ky.
