Volleyball Loses At Home To Tennessee State, 3-1

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Three players tallied double-doubles as visiting Tennessee State captured a 3-1 (33-31, 30-27, 29-31, 30-24) victory over Southeast Missouri State in Ohio Valley Conference play tonight at Houck Stadium. The Tigers improve their season record to 16-11 (8-3), while the Redhawks drop to 11-15 (5-6).

Junior middle blocker Brenna Schlader (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) led Southeast with a match-best 20 kills and three solo blocks. Senior outside hitter Jessica Koeper (Jackson, Mo./Jackson) and freshman setter Sarah Barth (Germantown, Ill./Central) each produced a double-double for the Redhawks. Koeper tallied 16 kills and 15 digs, while Barth contributed 57 assists and 11 digs. Freshman middle blocker Hannah Weis (St. Louis, Mo./Incarnate Word) and junior outside hitter Brittany Hastings (Wichita, Kan./Circle) each added 13 kills and freshman libero Molly Davis (Muncie, Ind./Burris) tallied 16 digs.

Seniors Erika Godbolt (18 kills, 10 digs) and Tiana Maua (55 assists, 10 kills) and junior Kelly Davis (10 kills, 10 digs) paced the Tigers on the night. Junior Endia Oliver produced a match-best 15 blocks (five solo, 10 assisted) and junior Katie Lippi had a match-high 20 digs. Junior Collese Dornan (16 kills) and senior Meesha Jackson (13 kills) also produced double-digit kill efforts for TSU.

The Redhawks host Austin Peay at Houck in their home finale tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. Koeper and senior setter Jamie Baumstark (Hermann, Mo./Hermann) will be honored before the match in a Senior Day ceremony.
