Southeast vs. Jacksonville State Will Be Televised on Charter Channel 11
Sept. 12, 2006 Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Saturday's Ohio Valley Conference opener between Southeast Missouri State and Jacksonville State will be televised live on Charter Cable Channel 11 beginning at 2:30 p.m. The telecast will be originated by CSS that goes into over 4.5 million homes in 11 southeastern states. Charter Cable has arranged to pick up the telecast and provide the live coverage on Channel 11 in Cape Girardeau, Gordonville, Jackson, Sikeston, Benton, Bertrand, Chaffee, Charleston, East Prairie, Howardville, Kelso, Lilbourn, Miner, Morehouse, New Madrid, Oran, and Scott City: "This will be a big boost for our program," said Redhawks coach Tony Samuel. "Our fans locally will be able to watch us in a key OVC road contest and the CSS audience in the southern United States will be able to see us go against one of the top teams in the OVC." The game will also be available online at OVCSport.TV on a subscription basis. Southeast Missouri is 2-0 on the season while Jacksonville State is 0-1 after a 17-13 loss at nationally ranked Furman. Southeast fans can learn more about Southeast football on a weekly television show, Redhawks Football with Tony Samuel. The 30-minute show, produced by KFVS-TV, can be seen Friday nights at 11 p.m. on the new CW Network, Channel 33, and is rebroadcast on Charter Cable 11 on Saturday's at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. |
