Southeast Missouri Scores 82-71 Win At Eastern Illinois

Charleston, Ill. - Brandon Foust scored a career high 25 points and added 10 rebounds for his third double-double in the last four games to lead Southeast Missouri State to an 82-71 win over Eastern Illinois.

The Redhawks jumped on top early, leading 37-23 at the half and held off a Panther rally that brought EIU within five points with 3:51 remaining. Jaycen Herring added 12 points for the Redhawks while Mike Rembert and Rod Pearson each had 10.

Eastern Illinois, 2-12 overall and 1-5 in the OVC, was led by Julio Anthony with 22 points while Jon'tee Willhite added 16 and Bobby Catchings.

Southeast Missouri will host Murray State on Monday at the Show Me Center with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff. A win would match the Redhawks best OVC start ever at 7-0.
