Charleston, Ill. - Sophomore Julie Koenegstein won the individual title in leading the Southeast Missouri State University women's cross country team to a win at the Panther Invitational at Eastern Illinois University.

Koenegstein won by more than 20-seconds as she toured the 5,000-menter course in 17:51.78 The Redhawks tallied a low total of 49 points to win over SIU-Carbondale, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, SIU-Edwardsville and McKendree.

The Redhawks scoring was rounded out by Brandi Grevais who placed fifth, Monica Noble 11th, Amy Warren 15th and Laura Gosen 17th.

The Southeast Men's team finished fifth in a seven team field with SIU-Carbondale winning. The top Redhawks finisher was Brandon Funderburk in 8th place.
