Saw most his playing time in center field in 2003...Could also see action in left if needed...Talented athlete who adds depth to the Aztec outfield corps...His speed allows him to cover a lot of ground defensively ...Although not drafted, turned down offer to play professional baseball out of high school...Last summer was a member of the (Portland) Aloha Knights of the Pacific International League where he hit .302 with 34 runs, four doubles, three triples and a pair of home runs in 51 games...Earned all-league honorable mention honors...Played with the San Diego Gamers during the summer of 2001, winning under-17 national championship with that squad.
