SFA Volleyball Extends Win Streak

NATCHITOCHES, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks remain unbeaten in their Southland Conference schedule as they defeated the Northwestern State Lady Demons in three games on Saturday at Prather Gym in Natchitoches.

The Ladyjacks took a close game one 30-27 and did not allow the Lady Demons to recover as they finished the sweep, 30-23 and 30-16. The Ladyjacks had a hitting percentage of .368 while holding Northwestern State to .152.

Leading SFA to its 10th straight win was freshman Lauren Railey. The McKinney, Texas native matched her career-high 18 kills and had 10 digs to earn her ninth double-double this season.

Sophomore JJ Jones helped Railey with 44 assists and 14 digs.

Senior Lauren Stevens, junior Laura Cramer and sophomore Traci Rohde each had 10 kills on the night. They each also collected a solo block.

Senior Jessica Watson collected three total blocks, two solo.

The win extends the Ladyjacks' overall record to 17-2 and keeps them perfect in SLC play at 9-0.

The Ladyjacks will remain on the road with a trip to Huntsville on Tuesday for an SLC face-off with the Sam Houston State Bearkats. That match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
