PLANO, Texas - Seniors LaToya Mills, Kirby Killingsworth and Britany Vinson and sophomore Nikki Carr earned All-Southland Conference honors announced league officials Sunday afternoon. SFA head coach Lee Ann Riley was awarded the 2006 SLC Coach of the Year honor.

Mills, a first-team selection, became the first Ladyjack in school history to earn all-conference honors all four seasons. She led the league in field-goal percentage (53 percent) and rebounds (8.9 rpg) while finishing second in the league averaging 16.8 points per game. Mills also finished among the conference's top five in steals averaging 2.0 steals per contest. She became the 22nd Ladyjack in school history to record 1,000 career points, and is among the school's all-time top 10 in rebounds.

Seniors Kirby Killingsworth and Britany Vinson both earned third-team honors. Vinson finished second on the team in scoring averaging 10.3 points per game, while Killingsworth is third on the team averaging 9.5 points per contest. Both players ranked among the league's elite in three-point field-goal shooting and will finish their careers among the school's top three in three-point field goals.

Sophomore point guard Nikki Carr received honorable mention all-conference honors for SFA. Carr started every game for SFA at the point, and finished fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 8.1 points per game and led the team in assists (3.1 apg).

Riley received her first conference coach of the year honor after guiding the Ladyjacks to a 20-7 (.741) overall record and the 2006 Southland Conference Regular-Season Championship. It marked the 25th time in school history that SFA has won at least 20 games in a season. Riley's troops recorded an eight-game turnaround from last year.

The Ladyjacks will open Southland Conference play Monday when they host eighth-seeded Lamar. The game against the Lady Cardinals is slated to tip off at 7 p.m. from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
