Rossner Earns SFL Special Teams Player of the Week Honors
Nov. 11, 2001 Sophomore placekicker Ryan Rossner was named the Southland Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week this week for his two field goal, three extra point effort in SFA's 35-13 win over the Southwest Texas State Bobcats. Rossner snapped a string of five straight misses with the two fields, and remains among the nation's top ten in field goals per game heading into week ten of the 2001 season. Rossner was also perfect (3-3) on extra point attempts on the afternoon. The 'Jacks travel to Natchitoches this Saturday to take on Northwestern State in a key Southland Football League match-up. The Demons fell to McNeese State this past Saturday, 17-10, and are now 3-2 in SFL play. With a win, the 'Jacks can win a share of the Southland Football League title and retain posession of Chief Caddo. |
