Volleyball Adds Heffner To Coaching Staff :: Erin Heffner will join the staff as an assistant coach

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford volleyball program has added Erin Heffner as an assistant coach, Head Coach Michelle Durban announced on Thursday.

"I am looking forward to having Erin join our staff," Durban said. "Her competitiveness and playing ability will help each of our players to reach new heights. She is a great person and will help our volleyball program continue to grow."

Heffner spent the last four years as a member of the volleyball team at the University of Alabama. While in Tuscaloosa, Heffner was named first-team All-SEC as a junior and senior, and second-team All-SEC as a freshman and sophomore. She was also named to the first-team All-South Region team as a junior and senior, and she was an honorable mention All-American as both a junior and senior.

Heffner has coached at the Judy Green Summer Volleyball Camp at Alabama (2002-04) and the John Carroll High School Volleyball Camp (2004). She also served as an assistant coach for the Tuscaloosa Volleyball Club from December 2003 to April 2004.
