Volleyball Downed In Three By Jacksonville State, Wednesday Night :: Kristin Berryman recorded 14 kills against the Gamecocks.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University volleyball team fell to Jacksonville State on Wednesday night (Nov. 10), 3-0, in its last home match of the 2004 season. The scores were as follows: 30-28, 30-25, 30-26.

The Gamecocks captured all-three games and finished with a total of 50 kills, 24 errors and 138 total attacks with an attack percentage of .188. The Bulldogs finished the match with 44 kills, 21 errors and 130 total attacks with an attack percentage of .177.

Samford's leader in kills was senior Kristin Berryman, who recorded 14 kills, seven errors and 34 total attacks with an attack percentage of .206, while Hilar Gary posted 11 kills, three errors and 35 total attacks with an attack percentage of .229. Callaway Logan and Robin Bishop both led the team in attack percentage. Logan posted six kills, one error and 16 total attacks with an attack percentage of .312, while Bishop recorded two kills, zero errors and five attacks with an attack percentage of .400.

Out of Samford's 38 total assists, Allison Pickett posted 36.

The Bulldogs will play its last regular-season match of the 2004 season on Friday, Nov. 12 at Tennessee State in Nashville, Tenn. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
